Mind’s labyrinth

A deep bend and a meandering path ahead.

Take a turn to see what lies yonder.

Misty and magical at the same time.

No signposts, no milestones to beckon

Inviting and hostile all in one.

Paths lay ahead of me as if conspiring to lead me astray.

In a flash I see I am on the wrong way.

Make a sharp turn and move back to where I began.

Sigh, is this the dead end; I should have turned at the bend.

I see I have miles to go again with no clue or legend.

Is there one way to the destination, I wonder?

My mind’s labyrinth sees no end.
